Multi-vendor e-commerce ecosystem for vendors, retailers and affiliates.
Industry
E-commerce
Offering
The client is a furniture distributor developing a distributed, multi-channel, multi-vendor ecommerce ecosystem for vendors, retailers, and affiliates. They wanted to create a platform where their customers’-- brick and mortar furniture stores, furniture manufacturers, distributors, resellers, and sales agents could work under a single platform to improve the efficiency of the entire furniture business value chain.
Approaches
The California based distributor approached Armia Systems to develop a B2B multi-channel, multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace. The Armia Systems team was able to develop a multi-channel, multi-vendor e-commerce marketplace for the client. As it was a multi-channel, multi-vendor marketplace, different incentive modules were developed to attract the vendors, resellers, and affiliates to the marketplace.
Resellers can create their e-commerce stores using the platform, and the vendor products are promoted through these stores. Resellers can sell their products as well as each other's product through this platform. Brick and mortar furniture stores can create privately labeled e-commerce stores with their existing inventory as well as inventory from any of the approved vendors. The payment was processed through a central processing platform, and the company was charged a monthly fee as well as a small processing fee.
The marketplace platform was developed in PHP, Angular, and MySQL stack and implemented in the AWS cloud. The team created a robust SaaS platform that suited the client's needs; the client expressed appreciation for their efforts.
Results
We built the eCommerce marketplace with more advanced features including Mixed Product delivery, Return Merchant Authorization for Customers, Recommendation Engine, Stripe payment gateway, Custom Fields to customize the store, etc. and more features. The platform helps businesses in implementing better chances for suppliers and buyers to establish new trading relationships. The marketplace allows the business operators to charge a price on the products that the vendors sell and hence increasing their profit rates.
